severe thunderstorms and high winds are moving through the entergy texas territory thursday evening, april 9th, causing wide spread outages.
on saturday, march 7, entergy mississippi completed restoration efforts related to severe weather earlier in the week. the storm damaged our equipment and caused power outages for more than 15,000 customers on wednesday, march 4. customers who can safely take power have been restored.
as of 6 p.m., entergy mississippi has restored power to more than 12,600 customers affected by storms that struck our service area on wednesday and thursday. about 2,926 customers remain without power, down from a peak of 15,560.

flood waters along the pearl river have receded and entergy mississippi has completed restoration for customers who are able to receive electrical service. while pearl river flooding threats have subsided, mississippi river water levels are rising. we have disconnected service to some customers affected by those conditions for public safety and to comply with the national electric safety code. our crews continue to inspect equipment related to both situations. we remain focused on working safely to restore service when customers can safely take power.
