crews are still actively working to restore power to the approximately 2,500 customers remaining without power. the most intense damages were the result of lightning, wind and confirmed tornadoes in rural areas that included treacherous terrain that required specialty equipment and additional personnel.
after a weekend of severe weather that caused widespread damages to the electric grid, today provided favorable weather conditions for crews to make remarkable progress in repairs and rebuilding both transmission and distribution systems.
crews have worked around the clock to safely restore power since multiple rounds of severe weather caused widespread outages across entergy arkansas’ service territory this weekend. currently, 6,045 customers remain without power.

high winds, lightning and heavy rain moved through the state on the evening of may 24, into early morning of may 25, resulting in a peak of 24,000 customer outages.
since the night of may 8, entergy arkansas has restored approximately 43,000 customer outages resulting from multiple storm fronts that moved through the state. currently there are approximately 1,430 remaining customer outages.
