all customers that can accept electrical service safely have been restored.
as of 6 p.m., 99% of customers impacted from the storm outages tuesday have been restored.
power has been restored to more than 65,000 customers since severe weather struck entergy mississippi’s service areas on tuesday. nearly 80,000 customers were affected by the wave of thunderstorms, lightning, high winds and tornadoes that caused widespread power outages.
as of 9 a.m., 95% of customers have been restored with 1,050 customers remaining down from a peak of 22,110 from tuesday morning. damages remaining include 115 broken poles, 244 spans of wire down, 122 spans of wire damaged by trees and limbs and 79 pieces of equipment remaining to be repaired or replaced.
