the national weather service is forecasting severe weather in arkansas this afternoon and tonight that could cause power outages.

entergy mississippi has restored power to all customers affected by a line of severe thunderstorms that caused 26,836 customer outages on thursday, april 23. this is the third storm in two weeks to strike and cause widespread damage in our service areas. since easter sunday, our crews have restored service to more than 72,500 customers who lost power as a result of the three severe weather events.

as of 6 p.m. april 24, more than 24,000 of nearly 27,000 customers have been restored.
