entergy’s louisiana storm team is continuing to assess damages and restore power where it is safe to do so after a devastating hurricane laura exited the state thursday afternoon.
a workforce of more than 13,000 will restore outages caused by hurricane laura
entergy is enlarging its storm team to respond to any impacts across louisiana from tropical storms marco and laura. the company is assembling a restoration workforce of approximately 3,800 workers and continues to acquire more as forecasts for laura indicate a potential louisiana landfall.
entergy personnel continue monitoring and planning for potential impacts to its service territories from tropical depression 8 in the gulf of mexico. we also are monitoring tropical storm gonzalo as it travels across the atlantic ocean.

entergy louisiana is proactively improving the electrical system and deploying new technologies across the state, with the goal always to reduce the number of outages and customers affected and allow for a faster restoration of power.
crews expect to restore power by tonight to the vast majority of customers who can accept service after severe weather thursday knocked out power to about 40,000 louisiana customers. some customers scattered across greater baton rouge and kentwood in tangipahoa parish may not be restored until early tomorrow.
