approximately 94% of customers are restored following severe thunderstorms
entergy texas crews have successfully restored power to more than 94% of customers following severe thunderstorms that caused widespread outages and extensive damage to the company’s service area on june 10th.
as of 8:30 p.m., approximately 4,000 customers are without power. entergy texas crews continues to safely restore power to customers by 10 p.m. tonight. customers in hardest hit areas in hardin, tyler, and jefferson counties continue to have extended restoration times due to extensive damage repairs to critical infrastructure.

as of 8:30 p.m., the following customer outages exist in the silsbee and beaumont networks, which remain the hardest hit areas:

- as of 8:30 p.m., 2,921 customers are without power.
- power has been restored to multiple areas including near reed ranch rd, durdin dr, and cravens rd in silsbee, masterson dr at hwy 69, parts of keith rd in lumberton, and mccauley rd, digmon rd, lindsey st and clear lake rd in kountze.
- there is extensive damage in the beaumont dr (north of lumberton) area with multiple poles and wires down. additionally, crews must replace broken poles near inwood dr and in the wildwood neighborhood. trees and wire are down on hollywood dr in kountze.
beaumont network (includes bevil oaks, china, nome, and surrounding areas):
- as of 8:30 p.m., 542 customers are without power.
- entergy expects most customers that can safely receive power to be restored tonight, however some customers will not be restored until tuesday as crews continue repairing extensive damage.
stay safe:
we urge customers to use caution after the storm and remember these important safety tips:
- stay away from downed power lines and areas of debris. energized power lines may not be visible among the rubble.
- report downed lines immediately to entergy at 1-800-9outage (1-800-968-8243), and call your local police station or fire department.
- return home only when authorities advise and drive only on roadways and bridges that have been declared passable.
- if a power line falls on your vehicle while driving, continue to drive away from the line.
- don’t walk in flooded areas or standing water. remember that wet tree limbs can conduct electricity.
- keep your distance from working crews. work sites can have any number of hidden dangers for the public, and distracting crews can cause accidents to happen.

- download the entergy app at entergyapp.com. customers can use the app to report outages or check on the status of power at their home or business.
- entergy’s view outages website includes maps that show where outages are located and gives information about restoration progress.
- register for outage text alerts through myentergy. customers should update their notification preferences to participate in text alerts. customers also can sign up for text messages about storm and restoration efforts by texting reg to 36778.
- the entergy storm center website has storm safety, preparation and restoration information that is updated throughout the day.
