as of 7 p.m., entergy mississippi has restored power for more than 12,000 customers after a line of severe thunderstorms and strong winds damaged our electrical systems on easter sunday evening. about 28,720 customers remain without power, down from a peak of 40,779. most customer outages are north of a line from yazoo city to kosciusko. based on the extra safety measures we are taking due to covid-19 and the widespread outages, we believe this will be a multi-day restoration effort and restoration times may be extended.
