entergy’s louisiana utilities and its contractors are prepared and ready to respond if the anticipated severe weather that is expected to impact our service territory causes power outages.

the storms, according to the national weather service, are expected to sweep across the state this afternoon and tonight, potentially bringing heavy rainfall, high winds, hail and even tornadoes.

while local utility crews and contractors will be on standby in all regions of the state that entergy serves, the company does have the ability to shift or call in additional resources to impacted areas.

customers are encouraged to be prepared as well. preparation and safety tips can be found on our storm center website at entergystormcenter.com. while storms can bring hazardous conditions, the most dangerous part of a storm can be after inclement weather has left the area. if you see downed power lines or electric equipment, please keep your distance and report it by calling 1-800-entergy.
