entergy arkansas senior manager chosen as vice president for aabe

charles mcghee, entergy arkansas senior manager of region distribution operations for the southeast region, has been named vice president of the arkansas chapter of the american association of blacks in energy.
aabe is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensuring the input of african americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies regulations, research and development technologies and environmental issues. the arkansas aabe chapter works with local legislators, administers a robust scholarship program and meets regularly to support minorities in the energy industry.
“the american association of blacks in energy plays a significant role in promoting diversity, equity and inclusion within the utility industry,” says mcghee. “this board appointment provides an opportunity to increase visibility of the organization within entergy arkansas and ultimately contribute to entergy’s long-term goal of improving stakeholder engagement.”
charles currently leads a dedicated team in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of services to customers in a 10-county territory, while assisting residential, commercial and industrial customers with electrical needs for entergy arkansas. in previous roles, including construction and customer service, he demonstrated leadership in storm restoration, community development and large account management.
charles is an alumnus of the university of central arkansas community development institute and holds certifications from the university of arkansas-little rock in basic 2022年世界杯比分. while serving on the pine bluff chamber of commerce board and as the board president of the united way of southeast arkansas, he has actively contributed to the growth and well being of the communities he serves.
charles is a native of mississippi and currently lives in jefferson county with his wife and two children. he earned a bachelor’s degree from mississippi valley state university and holds an mba from the university of phoenix, along with a financial management certification from cornell university.
