call of duty: entergy texas employees go above and beyond in service to customers
09/16/2015
entergy texas customers have proven that the art of letter writing is not lost. recently, several have sent in notes of appreciation for the great work exhibited by our employees.
the work day doesn't always end when employees pull away from the parking lot. for example, consider administrative assistant delores dugas and 1st class lineman aaron "a.p." castino, both of the orange network. it was late one evening when dugas answered her neighbor's call for assistance about a blinking lights problem.
in a letter to their supervisor, the customer wrote "about 7 p.m. one evening, i called my neighbor, mrs. delores dugas to ask her advice. she listened patiently, then immediately said ‘don't you worry! i'll send someone out first thing in the morning!'"
that next day castino arrived to fix the problem and this made for a happy customer.
"it is nice to know that a customer would take the time to write in to show their appreciation for the hard work that we put into every job. to see a smile on a customer's face when their problem is solved is rewarding," castino said.
dugas and castino are not alone is going above and beyond.
port arthur 1st class serviceman joshua lira's response during a power outage was also praised by a customer. the customer wrote, "on behalf of our county offices, i want to send our gratitude for your quick response. i would especially recognize josh lira. i witnessed josh's professionalism, work ethic and caring attitude toward our power outage. as a former plant manager, i know a good one and you have a winner with josh lira."
and there's more.
a customer in beaumont described the work of the lineman that assisted her as akin to michelangelo at work on his canvas.
"when a customer like ms. carolyn goes to the measure she did to say her thanks, it makes everything we do worth it," beaumont 1st class lineman larry lowe jr. said.
entergy texas president and ceo sallie t. rainer said "i certainly echo the comments from the customers who sent letters to recognize our employees. i am very proud we continue to demonstrate our commitment to providing great service to our customers and doing it right the first time. thank you for a job well done!"
